Interventions

Intervention 1: In the first intervention group, they will receive 600 mg of gabapentin tablets one hour before treatment, then a mandibular block injection with 2% lidocaine and 1/100,000 epinephrine

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Age between 18 and 65 years Informed consent Mandibular first and second molars with symptomatic irreversible pulpitis Low anxiety in the range of 4 to 8 based on the Dental Anxiety Questionnaire

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Pregnancy and gestation Presence of acute periapical abscess and apical radiolucency History of smoking, alcohol, and drug use Presence of periodontal disease with loss of clinical connections History of systemic disease Having any type of infectious, endocrine, autoimmune, or central nervous system disease Use of analgesics, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, and narcotics at least 12 hours before treatment

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Pain level. Timepoint: 5, 10 and 15 minutes after mandibular block injection. Method of measurement: Using a visual pain scale.
