Interventions

Intervention 1: Intervention group: Will receive one 1000 mg Aleo Vera tablet daily for 2 months. Intervention 2: Control gourp:Will receive one 1000 mg placebo tablet daily for 2 months.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Inclusion criteria: having type 2 diabetes for at least 6 months; age 30-65 years old; treated with glucose-lowering drugs. Exclusion criteria: insulin therapy; history of using antioxidants supplements for last 3 months; pregnancy; lactation; renal failure; a history of any type of metabolic disease other than type 2 diabetes such as proved thyroid disease.
