Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients undergoing elective abdominal surgery with a midline incision who received bowel prep. Patients aged between 18-75

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Critically ill patients with neuromuscular problems who are unable to move Patients who are unconscious, uncommunicative, or mentally retarded Unwillingness to undergo the intervention Contraindications for the use of magnesium hydroxide (kidney failure, sensitivity to magnesium hydroxide, heart block, cardiac arrhythmias, etc.)

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Passing gas or stool. Timepoint: At 12, 24, 36, and 48 hours after surgery. Method of measurement: Post-surgery questionnaire.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
