Intervention 1: Intervention group: Group made of 40 infants which their blood vitamin d level will be checked and then receive bolus dose of vitamin D (50000 units) I.M right after birth(single dose)

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Term infants weighing more than 2500 gram Parental consent to participate in the project

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Congenital malformation Babies weighing less than 2500 grams Preterm babies

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Vitamin D and calcium serum levels. Timepoint: Before intervention(bolus dose administration of vitamin D) and 1 and 4 months after intervention. Method of measurement: Blood samples taken from neonates.
