Intervention 1: In needle infiltration group, the wound was anesthetized with 2 cc syringe and 25 gauge needle, and suturing was then performed. Intervention 2: In jet injector group, the injector was

In needle infiltration group, the wound was anesthetized with 2 cc syringe and 25 gauge needle, and suturing was then performed.
In jet injector group, the injector was loaded with 2% lidocain and then the jet was shoot from a 5 cm distance to anesthetize the wound. Stitching was then done following 5 minutes.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Inclusion criteria: age>18 years; open small wound <3 cm; emergent stitching needed Exclusion criteria: patients with dirty/infected wounds; receiving analgesic or sedative before admission to our emergency department; extensive damage to the soft tissue with no possibility of repairing the wound in an outpatient setting
