The subjects in the supplemented group were given 200 mg.kg -1 of BCAA. The supplement was taken directly 30 minutes before the exercise test for supplement.
The control group received a placebo of the same form and size of capsule as the BCAA capsules and instructed to ingest these at the same time

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Inclusion criteria: Males; young soccer players; aged 18-25years; No current chronic health problems; No consumption of any supplements or steroid anabolic drugs within the past 6 months Exclusion criteria: Smoking; injuries; acute diseases; and uncontrolled intake of any supplement or drugs (during the period).

MeasureTime frame
Hormonal responses. Timepoint: before, immediately post-exercise, 1, 2 and 24 hrs after the resistance. Method of measurement: hormonses concentrations determine using enzyme immunoassays (EIA) and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISA).;C-reactive protein. Timepoint: before, immediately post-exercise, 1, 2 and 24 hrs after the resistance. Method of measurement: C-reactive protein (CRP) will measure by a highly sensitive enzyme linked immunosorbent.

MeasureTime frame
Craeine kinase (CK). Timepoint: before, immediately post-exercise, 1, 2 and 24 hrs after the resistance. Method of measurement: serum CK activity determine by commercial kits with automatic analyzers.
