Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Inclusion criteria: gestation age less than 32 week and more than 28 week; cyanosis and need to resuscitation at birth; inborn infants at Al Zahra hospital and no intubation at birth. Exclusion criteria: preterm infants with gestation age more than 32 week and less than 28 week; intubation at birth for resuscitation or ineffective respirations; major congenital anomaly; chromosomal anomaly; craniofacial anomalies; esophageal atresia and diaphragmatic hernia.

MeasureTime frame
Need for surfactant replacement therapy. Timepoint: 3 first days of birth. Method of measurement: clinical, radiologic and ABG assessment.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Need for mechanical ventilation. Timepoint: first week of life. Method of measurement: clinical, radiologic and ABG assessment.
