Intervention 1: Intervention group: Oral gabapentin tablet 1200 mg one hour before chest tube insertion and then 600 mg three times daily for at most one week. Intervention 2: Control group: Oral acet

Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Age 18 to 60 years Candidate for chest tube insertion
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Pregnancy Body mass index greater than 30 Receiving opioid medications Addiction to opium Renal of liver failure
