In group 2 acupuncture is prescribed. Intervention : Usage of MRI for recording the knee cartilage thickness before and after theraputic acupuncture sessions for ten session and in below points based

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Included criteria : ?. Patients with age range of 30_65 years old who have had intractable knee pain for three months ?. Radiologic changes of medial knee osteoarthritis,based on Kalgrene and lowerence standards and clinical standards of American society of rheumatology Excluded criteria: ?. Simultaneous use of other treatments effective on cartilage size like glucosamine and parenteral hyarolonic acid, ?. Systemic disease like DM , RA and etc. , ?. Knee operation , ?. Use of intraarticular corticosteroid injection , ?. Evidence of patellofemoral joint involvement , ?. Use of oral corticosteroid , ?. Use of permanent assistive device for ambulation and advanced knee osteoarthritis.

Thickness of knee cartilage. Timepoint: Prior to intervention-3 months after intervention. Method of measurement: Magnetic resonance imaging {MRI).

Pain. Timepoint: prior to intervention and 3 month after intervention. Method of measurement: Visual Analog Scale.;Function. Timepoint: Prior to intervention and 3 months after intervention. Method of measurement: WOMAC form.
