Intervention 1: Intervention group: 30 milligram of pioglitazone tablet will be given once daily for two months orally to the patients in the intervention group. Intervention 2: Control group: 30 mi

Control group: 30 milligram of placebo tablet will be given once daily for two months orally to the patients in the control group

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Inclusion: Asmathic patients; men & women; age range:18-70 years Exclusion: Heart failure; active liver disease including high level of liver enzymes; Edema; Hypersensitivity to pioglitazone; serious drug side effects and/or drug interactions during intervention

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Pulmonary function. Timepoint: before intervention and at the end of it ( 2 months later). Method of measurement: Spirometry test.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Inflammatory biomarkers including TNF alpha And interlukins. Timepoint: before intervention and post intervention (2 months after) ). Method of measurement: quantitative kits with ELIZA reader.
