Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Willingness and informed consent to participate in the study Having a bachelor's degree in nursing or higher No adverse events in the past six months (death of loved ones, death threats, divorce, and severe physical injury or sexual assault of oneself or a close relative) based on nurses' statements No history of psychiatric disorders and no use of psychiatric and sleeping medications based on nurses' self-report No managerial roles (head nurse and supervisor) and at least one year of experience working in special wards No smell problems and respiratory diseases (asthma and allergies) based on self-report No use of sleeping or anti-stress medications based on self-report during the study period No use of drugs and alcohol based on self-report No use of relaxation methods and exercises such as yoga in the past 6 months No known chronic or systematic diseases Nurse not being transferred from the ward Complete the questionnaire.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Allergy to chamomile essential oil in the intervention group or one of their family members The sample's reluctance to inhale chamomile essential oil due to possible sensitivity or unpleasant feeling to the smell of this essential oil.
