Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Eligible participants will be male university students aged 18–30 years who will have used a smartphone daily for over a year and will spend at least one hour per day on it. Participants will need to have a forward head angle greater than 44° and a forward shoulder angle greater than 49°, as measured using diagnostic standards. All participants will be required to provide written informed consent. Each participant will need to own a device capable of installing the corrective exercise app used in the study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Participants who will fail to complete the exercise program or withdraw from it. Individuals who will have a history of disease, fractures, surgery, or joint pain in the spine, shoulder, or pelvis.

MeasureTime frame
Measurement of Forward Head Posture and Rounded Shoulder Posture. Timepoint: At the beginning of the study (before the intervention starts) and at the end of the study (8 weeks after the intervention). Method of measurement: In this study, following recruitment through social media and the acquisition of written informed consent, baseline postural assessment will be conducted using a standard posture grid and digital photography. Forward head posture will be quantified by calculating the Craniovertebral Angle (CVA), and rounded shoulder posture will be measured through image analysis using Kinovea software.Participants will then be randomly allocated to three groups: control, Intervention A, and Intervention B. Both intervention groups will perform the same corrective exercise program for 8 weeks via a mobile application.After completion of the intervention period, the first post-test assessment will be conducted. Subsequently, a 4-week follow-up phase will be implemented for Intervention Group A, during which participants will receive posture reminder notifications through the mobile application. At the end of the follow-up period, a second post-test will be performed to evaluate the retention of the intervention effects.
