Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Inclusion criteria: men aged 20-70 years undergoing coronary artery bypass graft surgery. Exclusion criteria: history of chronic analgesic use (nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, opioids, or paracetamol); tranquilizer, anticonvulsant, or antidepressant use; alcohol dependence; malabsorption; hepatic and renal insufficiency; emergency surgery; previous cardiac surgery; left ventricular dysfunction (ejection fraction <40%); preoperative use of inotropic agents or intraaortic balloon pump; and allergy to the study drugs. Patients undergoing redo sternotomy were also excluded from the study.
