Intervention 1: Intervention group: laser hatching operation (using a laser to pierce the shingles). Intervention 2: Control group: no laser hatching operation.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Candidates for fresh or frozen-thawed embryo transfer with poor ovarian response classified as POSEIDON groups three and four Age between 18 and 42 years

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Structural anomalies of uterus Poor quality embryos Severe male factor

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Clinical pregnancy. Timepoint: Four weeks after embryo transfer. Method of measurement: Fetal heart beat detection by ultrasound.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Chemical pregnancy. Timepoint: 2 weeks after embryo transfer. Method of measurement: Serum Beta HCG titer.;Implantation rate. Timepoint: 4 weeks after embryo transfer. Method of measurement: Number of intrauterine gestational sacs on ultrasound divided by the number of transferred embryos.;Ongoing pregnancy. Timepoint: 12 weeks post embryo transfer. Method of measurement: Continued presence of fetal cardiac activity.;Multiple pregnancy rate. Timepoint: 4 weeks after embryo transfer. Method of measurement: Number of gestational sacs containig fetal pole on ultrasound.;Early abortion. Timepoint: 12 weeks after embryo transfer. Method of measurement: Absence of gestational sac or fetal heartbeat in ultrasound.
