Interventions

Intervention 1: The superior trapezius muscle becomes oily with chamomile oil. Then massage will conducted from top to bottom for 10 minutes. Then, each of the 5 main points for activation of trigger

18 Years to 70 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Informed consent women Age 18 to 70 years Existence of pain in the superior trapezius area (cramp, burning, and pain) from the shoulder to the upper back and neck Existence of trigger points in touching superior trapezius

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: The pain is too severe that the patient needs other treatments Neurological symptoms of the upper extremities Severe mental illnesses Pregnancy Any nerve damages or pressure on the spinal cord Cancer History of neck and shoulder surgery History of fractures and dislocations in the neck and shoulders History of severe cervical spine disorders such as disc herniation Hemophilia, Diabetic neuropathy, Epilepsy, Deep Vein Thrombosis, Anaphylaxis Taking anticoagulants such as warfarin Existence of wounds in the mentioned area Severe fever and headache and symptoms of meningitis

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Pain severity. Timepoint: At the beginning of the study, 7, 14 and 21 days after starting treatment. Method of measurement: Visual Analogue Scale.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
The neck pain and disability. Timepoint: At the beginning of the study and 21 days after starting treatment. Method of measurement: Neck Disability and Pain Scale.;The shoulder pain and disability. Timepoint: At the beginning of the study and 21 days after starting treatment. Method of measurement: Shoulder Pain and Disability Index.
