Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Newborns less than 30 weeks Birth weight less than one kilogram Respiratory illness Informed parental consent

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Newborns with airway anomalies Pneumothorax Congenital pneumonia and intubated infants

MeasureTime frame
Surfactant. Timepoint: Measured at 24, 48 and 72 hours. Method of measurement: A VBG is measured daily from the newborn and PO2, PCO2 are measured at 24, 48 and 72 hours.;Reducing the incidence of RDS complications.
