Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: The inclusion criteria were: being Iranian, primiparous in the age range of 20-35 years; term pregnancy; single pregnancy; fetal vertex presentation; being in active phase and without CPD; not use of analgesic drug in last 8 hours and not having obstetric complications. The exclusion criteria were: fetal distress and use of epidural analgesic.
