Design outcomes
Primary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| Main Objective: To see if an increase in serum potassium by administrating potassium chloride infusion can lead to conversion of atrial fibrillation/atrial flutter in patients with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation /atrial flutter.;Secondary Objective: -To find out if there is association between hypokalemia and atrial fibrillation/atrial flutter. -How long patients keep their sinus rhythm after conversion to sinus rhythm.;Primary end point(s): Time to conversion of atrial fibrillation to sinus rythm.;Timepoint(s) of evaluation of this end point: 24 hours observation. | — |
Secondary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| Secondary end point(s): Outpatient consultation after 3 months to see if the patients have kept there sinus rhythm.;Timepoint(s) of evaluation of this end point: 3 months. | — |
