Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - Suffering from cardiovascular diseases, severe physical illness, hypertension current of lifetime psychopathology or endocrine disorders. - being on medication known to affect HPA-axis functioning.

Main Objective: The primary objective of this study is to investigate the role of the mineralocorticoid receptor (MR) in memory performance under stressful and non-stressful conditions in humans by administering the MR antagonist Spironolactone.;Secondary Objective: This study will also yield insights into whether the clinical use of Spironolactone as a treatment drug for heart failure and hypertension may yield unwanted side effects on memory performance. ;Primary end point(s): - Memory performance, being defined as the number of words to be recalled after 24 hours.
