Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 30-50-year old women with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and reliable non-hormonal birth control (IUD + condom or sterilisation). Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Menopause, smokers, alcohol users, use of sexhormones or drugs that are known to affect lipid metabolism (3 months wash-out period required), history of active liver disease, liver/kidney/cardiac failure, muscular disease, pregnancy or lactation, allergy to atorvastatin.
