Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: mental illness, psychiatric diagnosis (except nicotine or caffeine addiction) for Zyban: idiosyncrasy, epilepsy, bulimia, anorexia, zirrhosis, simultanous intake of MAO-inhibitors, brain tumour, alcohol or sedatives detoxication, pregnancy, nursing.

Main Objective: smoking cessation by means of psychodynamic mental training comparatatively tested with the recently most successfull IMP on the market (Zyban);Secondary Objective: One year abstinence Nicotine abstinence longer lasting than in Zyban treated comparison group.;Primary end point(s): last CO-breathing test after one year follow up of at least 740 subjects (370 subjects Zyban-treatment, 370 subjects Psychodynamic mental training)
