Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients on oral iron treatment Patients below 18 years of age Patients with history of severe allergic reaction

Number of patients transfused and units transfused. 2. Change in serum iron markers between recruitment and day of admission 3. Side effects of intravenous iron 4. Discharge haemoglobin 5.
