Conditions

Patients recovering 6weeks after primary PCI for ST-elevation Myocardial Infarction. This application concerns the use of gadolinium contrast to visualise myocardial infarct size using MRI. Adenosine will be used as a physiological adjunct to better determine the presence of ischemia as well as infarction.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients who have undergone primary PCI for STEMI. Are the trial subjects under 18? no Number of subjects for this age range: F.1.2 Adults (18-64 years) yes F.1.2.1 Number of subjects for this age range F.1.3 Elderly (>=65 years) yes F.1.3.1 Number of subjects for this age range

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Contraindications for MRI: pacemaker/ICD, intracranial clips, claustrophobia, not willing to participate

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Main Objective: Objective infarct sizing after PCI for STEMI, related to the time between start of chest pain and opening up of the infarct related artery.;Secondary Objective: Detect possible remaining ischemia by observing a delayed wash-in of gadolinium during adenosin infusion.;Primary end point(s): Infarct size at the time of study. Ischemia at adenosine infusion.
