Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Written informed consent. All patients undergoing cardiac surgery with the use of cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB).
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Expected non-compliance with the study protocol. 2. Any form of renal replacement therapy (e.g., maintenance hemodialysis for chronic kidney disease stage G5d, peritoneal dialysis) or previous kidney transplantation. 3. Patients with acute kidney injury (AKI) diagnosed within 30 days prior to surgery according to the KDIGO criteria.
