Design outcomes
Primary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| Thyroid volume, blood parameters (TSH, fT3, fT4), thyroid uptake on scintigraphy, and the patient's requirement for thyroid hormone replacement therapy. Endpoints are assessed before and after radioiodine therapy and compared. All measurements are performed as part of routine guideline-based diagnostic work-up and treatment, without any additional study-related burden for the patient. | — |
Secondary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| Difference between the planned and the achieved absorbed radiation dose to the thyroid. The planned absorbed dose is determined before therapy during an interdisciplinary conference involving nuclear medicine physicians and medical physics experts. The achieved absorbed dose is calculated after completion of radioiodine therapy in accordance with current clinical guidelines. | — |
