MeasureTime frame
The subject of this study is the effect of anesthesia and analgesia methods on patients’ subjective well-being following elective total knee arthroplasty. A standardized, structured questionnaire will be used to determine whether there are differences in patients’ well-being following two different anesthesia and analgesia techniques. The Anesthesiology Follow-up Questionnaire for Patients (ANP) used for this survey was first proposed in 1999 as part of a “Comprehensive Quality Management” initiative in the field of anesthesiology by the Professional Association of German Anesthesiologists. The anesthesiology follow-up questionnaires are distributed on the 1st and 2nd postoperative days in the general wards. The first questionnaire pertains to the patient’s condition on the day of surgery, the second to the condition on the 1st postoperative day, and the third to the condition on the 2nd postoperative day, resulting in an observation period of 48 hours.
