Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients undergoing surgery to remove an epiretinal membrane. Group I: for idiopathic epiretinal gliosis. Group II: for proliferative vitreoretinopathy.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: age < 18, severe systemic diseases

Removal of the membrane and molecular biological characterization of the membranes There is no endpoint of the study. It is about the molecular biological characterization of the membranes in both groups and we try to find differences in these data between the groups.	—
