Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: o Provision of written informed consent to participate in the study o Age =18 years o Diagnosis of a substance use disorder o Undergoing inpatient detoxification treatment o Sufficient proficiency in German to understand and complete the questionnaires

Exclusion criteria: Lack of capacity to provide informed consent

MeasureTime frame
o Descriptive characterization of the assessed psychosocial factors (sleep, loneliness, conversations among fellow patients, symptom attribution, attitudes toward different patient groups, and shame) o Subjectively reported experiences and reasons associated with treatment discontinuation o Subjectively reported triggers, management strategies, and consequences of relapse during inpatient treatment o Prevalence of autistic traits in the study cohort Data will be collected once per participant using self-developed questionnaires: "Psychosocial Factors and Treatment Experiences in Inpatients with Substance Use Disorders: A Questionnaire Study" and, in the event of a relapse, the additional questionnaire section "Relapse During Inpatient Detoxification: Patients' Perspectives on Triggers, Management, and Consequences." In addition, the questionnaire incorporates the following standardized and validated instruments: o Autism-Spectrum Quotient (AQ) (Baron-Cohen et al., 2001) o Empathy Quotient (EQ) (Baron-Cohen et al., 2004) o Insomnia Severity Index (ISI) (Dieck et al., 2018) o Three-Item Loneliness Scale (Hughes et al., 2004) o 10-item Internalized Stigma of Mental Illness Scale (ISMI-10) (Boyd et al., 2014)
