Group 1: We will conduct semi-structured interviews with n = 10-15 family members or other next of kin of patients having undergone ICU treatment at wards 8i and 9i, Charité – Campus Virchow Klinikum

Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: - consent to participate - family member or other next of kin of a patient which underwent a minimum of 72 hours of ICU care at wards 8i and 9i, Charité – Campus Virchow Klinikum between January 2025 and May 2026. A minimum of 2 visits to the ICU in this time is required.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: - speech barriers which would require the use of a translator - less than 2 visits to the ICU during treatment of family member/partner - failure to consent
