Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Intensive care treatment in one of the two interdisciplinary surgical intensive care units at TUM Klinikum Rechts der Isar.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Age < 18 years

MeasureTime frame
The stability of the circadian rhythm is measured throughout the patient’s stay in the intensive care unit, as determined by mathematical methods such as chi-squared or Lomb-Scargle periodograms.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Survival during a stay in intensive care; duration and intensity of ventilation; organ replacement therapy; delirium
