Design outcomes
Primary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| Classification performance (F1-score) of an AI model pre-trained on publicly available datasets of physiological fear responses (including the SpiderPhy dataset) and a randomly selected subset of data collected within the present study for distinguishing individuals with and without a Mini-DIPS-confirmed diagnosis of spider phobia. Model performance will be evaluated on the remaining independent test dataset, which is not used during model training. | — |
Secondary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| Identification of potential predictors of response to VR-based exposure through exploratory analyses of demographic, psychological, and physiological variables. Treatment response will be operationalized as changes in spider-phobia-related questionnaire scores and Behavioral Avoidance Test (BAT) performance between pre- and post-assessment. | — |
