Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Age = 18 years Signed informed consent form from the patient Confirmed atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease: • coronary heart disease and/or cerebrovascular occlusive disease (cAVK) and/or peripheral arterial occlusive disease (pAVK) confirmed by: - Imaging (CT, carotid duplex ultrasound, MRA) - invasive diagnostics (coronary angiography, PCI) Current hsCRP result available (< 3 months) hsCRP measured outside the context of an acute illness
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Existing pregnancy Currently active cancer Current acute infection Immunomodulatory / immunosuppressive treatment (e.g. for COPD, rheumatic conditions, autoimmune diseases)
