Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: - Able and willing to provide informed consent - Resident of the study area
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: - Respiratory symptoms at screening (including but not limited to cough, sore throat, sputum production, sneezing, running nose, wheezing, shortness of breath, general signs potentially indicative of an ongoing airway infection like fever, and other symptoms potentially interfering with lung function testing) - Past or present chronic respiratory disease (e.g., asthma, COPD, cystic fibrosis, post-tuberculosis sequelae, other) - Any contraindication for spirometry (see CRF) - Past or present tuberculosis disease - Any condition that may lead to uncooperative behavior (e.g., psychiatric illness, alcoholism, other) - Past or present smoker - Diseases or anatomic abnormality possibly altering spirometry results (higher degree scoliosis, muscular disease, other) - Previous lung surgery or severe chest trauma (e.g., due to traffic accident) - Known current or past anemia or anemia treatment
