Primary

MeasureTime frame
To investigate whether post-traumatic growth can be further enhanced by participating in the Ulm Treasure Chest programme, i.e. whether the intervention can increase the level of growth or not. Finally, this will be examined by comparing the responses to the questionnaires at three different points in time, namely after completing the questionnaire following the video shoot. The assessment tools are the following questionnaires: Distress Thermometer (based on A. Mehnert, D. Müller, C. Lehmann, U. Koch (2006)), PPR (Post-Traumatic Changes (21 items); Tedeschi, R.G., Calhoun, L.G. (1996), German version by Maercker & Langner (2001)), PDI-G (Patient Dignity Inventory (25 items); Sautier et al (2014; orig.: Chochinov et al (2008)), PA-F-KF (12 items; short version: Herschbach & Heußner (2008) Hogrefe; Anja Mehnert, Peter Herschbach, Petra Berg, Gerhard Henrich, Uwe Koch (2015).), PHQ-4 (Depression and Anxiety (4 items + one additional item [PHQ-B])), PEACE (Peace, Equanimity, and Acceptance in the Cancer Experience Questionnaire (12 items); Mack et al (2008).), DAB-GR (Death Attitudes Profile – Revised (32 items); Jansen et al (2019))

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To assess the impact that psychologically supported exploration of existential questions at the end of life has on other areas, such as the experience of dignity, depression, anxiety, fear of progression, and acceptance of the situation.
