Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Healthy adults * No acute or chronic low back pain * No known spinal disorders * Ability to safely perform a 10-minute rowing exercise session * Written informed consent obtained prior to participation * Absence of any exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: * Acute or chronic low back pain * Known spinal disorders * Spinal surgery within the previous 12 months * Neurological disorders * Pregnancy * Acute illness at the time of participation * Current injuries or other physical impairments that could interfere with the safe performance of the rowing intervention * Contraindications to physical exercise

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Immediate post-intervention change in tissue stiffness of the lumbar myofascial region, assessed immediately before and immediately after the intervention with the IndentoPRO at predefined measurement sites located 2 cm, 5 cm, and 10 cm lateral to L3.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Secondary Outcome Measures (assessed at same time points) 1. Change in skin mobility of the lumbar region measured with the re-modified Adheremeter immediately following the intervention. 2. Change in lumbar flexibility measured with the modified Schober test immediately following the intervention. 3. Between-group differences in changes of skin mobility, lumbar flexibility, and tissue stiffness immediately following the intervention.
