Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
The primary aim of this study is to provide an empirically grounded description and analysis of the participation of registered nurses on intensive care units during interprofessional rounds at the national level. Specifically, the study examines both the subjective extent of equal participation and the objective structure of the visits/rounds, and assesses the relationship between these two dimensions using a custom-designed online questionnaire.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Secondary aims are to quantify the relationship between the level of structure in the visits/rounds and the identification of communication barriers during thevisits/rounds, as well as to identify differences in participation and the structure of the rounds with respect to facility type and department-specific professional experience, in order to map context-dependent factors influencing interprofessional visits/rounds from a nursing perspective.
