Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Children with at least one parent or guardian with flight experience, living in branches of the Ankerzentrum Manching or in shared housing in Munich

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: previously diagnosed developmental disorder or illness in the child or the primary caregiver (e.g., intellectual disability, serious illness/developmental disorder, etc.) that prevents participation in the study.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
The child's learning performance at T2, T3, and T4 (working memory, Atlantis subtest of the KABC-II) related to learning performance at T1 before intervention/tau

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
children’s play and interaction behaviors (standardized play observation), Trauma-related and overall symptoms as assessed by parents (Trauma Symptom Questionnaire SATK-10, SDQ) and parental stress experience (Symptom score and Stress Thermometer from RHS-15), parents’ knowledge acquisition and self-efficacy (questionnaire, BPSES), and children’s language performance (Vocabulary subtest of the KABC-II, SKI)
