Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: The data collected retrospectively consists of findings from diagnostic joint aspirations obtained as part of routine clinical practice. These include biochemical, cytological, and microbiological parameters of the synovial fluid, as determined by standard procedures and documented in the patient’s medical record. In addition, information from the patient record (from the KAS) regarding the detection of microbiological pathogens in the synovial fluid, prior antibiotic therapy, intraoperative samples, as well as the clinical course and outcome (e.g., revision surgeries, mortality) is collected. The study period covers the years 2015 through 2025
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Patients who have previously received antibiotic therapy Patients who have undergone multiple revisions
