Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Healthy young adult. Regularly engaged in sport or exercise practice.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Participants will be excluded for any of the following reasons: • Inability or unwillingness to provide informed consent. • Current participation in competitive or high-performance sports at the national or international level (excluding local or regional levels). • Current structured training exceeding 10 hours per week besides the university activities. • Hypertension grade 2 (= 160/100 mmHg at rest). • Presence of any diagnosed relevant comorbidity (e.g., cardiovascular, metabolic, or acute musculoskeletal disease). • Any functional limitation that would impede the execution of the evaluation tests or exercise training protocols.

MeasureTime frame
Systolic blood pressure, before, during and after isometric resistance exercise (wall squat and plank). The HemoSphere Advanced Monitor equipped with the ClearSight module (Edwards hemodynamic monitoring technology) will be used. The HemoSphere ClearSight module, in conjunction with a compatible pressure controller and finger cuff(s), enables noninvasive measurement of the arterial pressure waveform.

MeasureTime frame
Diastolic blood pressure, heart rate, cardiac output, heart rate variability, peripheral tissue oxygen saturation, and rating of perceived exertion.
