Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Anhedonia experienced in daily life during the 1-week intervention phase compared to the 1 or 2-week baseline phase, as indicated by the mean of responses to the items "I was able to look forward to different activities and events" and "“I was able to enjoy different activities and events”, rated twice per day using ecological momentary assessment.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Positive affect, negative affect, positive cognitions, negative cognitions, and behavioural activation experienced in daily life in the 1-week intervention phase compared to the 1 or 2-week baseline phase, rated twice per day using ecological momentary assessment. Changes in anhedonia (26-item version of the Dimensional Anhedonia Rating Scale, DARS; Snaith-Hamilton Pleasure Scale, SHAPS), depression (Patient Health Questionnaire - 9, PHQ-9), positive affect (18-item positive subscales of the extended Positive and Negative Affect Schedules, PANAS-P), and anxiety (Generalized Anxiety Disorder - 7, GAD-7) from start to end of the 1-week intervention phase compared to start to end of the 1 or 2-week baseline phase of the study. Anhedonia (26-item version of the Dimensional Anhedonia Rating Scale, DARS; Snaith-Hamilton Pleasure Scale, SHAPS), depression (Patient Health Questionnaire - 9, PHQ-9), positive affect (18-item positive subscales of the extended Positive and Negative Affect Schedules, PANAS-P), and anxiety (Generalized Anxiety Disorder - 7, GAD-7) at 2 and 4-week follow-up.
