Exclusion criteria: -Pre-existing neurological or psychiatric conditions -Use of centrally acting medications -Epilepsy -Pregnant or breastfeeding women -Individuals with implants that are not compatible with MRI or TPS -Contraindications for TPS use (thrombosis, blood clotting disorders, corticosteroid treatment within 6 weeks prior to TPS stimulation)
Design outcomes
Primary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| Changes in the functional connectivity of the frontoparietal working memory network following a 2-back working memory task, as measured by fMRI, following a single TPS stimulation compared to placebo stimulation. | — |
Secondary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| 1. Changes in functional connectivity during of fMRI resting-state measurement following a single TPS stimulation session compared to placebo stimulation 2. Differences in blood oxygen level-dependent (BOLD) activation in brain regions during a working memory task following a single TPS stimulation session compared to placebo stimulation | — |
