Interventions

Group 1: A retrospective analysis of all patients who underwent a heart transplant between 2016 and 2026 and who underwent right heart catheterisation within 6 months prior to the transplant.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: a. Heart failure with reduced left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF <40%) b. Heart failure treatment in accordance with guidelines c. Completed heart transplant (HTX) d. Classic HTX indication (advanced left heart failure with = 1 episode of cardiac decompensation, maximum oxygen uptake achieved in spiroergometry = 14 ml/min/kg; or: support with a left ventricular assist device (LVAD)) e. Regular haemodynamic assessment via right heart catheterisation (RHC) as part of routine HTX preparation (clinical indication!); latest available RHC = 6 months prior to HTX f. Pulmonary vascular resistance (PVR) = 2 Wood Units (WU) g. Follow-up regarding vital status for at least 12 months after HTX

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: h. Contraindications for RHC i. PVR < 2 Wood Units j. Incomplete heart failure treatment, except in cases of intolerance
