Group 1: Descriptive retrospective analysis of 238 patients who were not correctly diagnosed in a timely manner, in a cohort of 1762 patients diagnosed with a stroke or TIA between 01.06.2017 and 31.1

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All patients who were diagnosed with a cerebral stroke belatedly after admission using cMRI or CCT, without this diagnosis having been initially made and therefore without a teleneurological examination being carried out in the emergency department.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients who were deliberately not adequately diagnosed neurologically due to palliative care, lack of therapeutic intervention, or other reasons. All patients diagnosed with a cerebral stroke immediately upon admission to the emergency department and referred for a teleneurological examination in the emergency department.

MeasureTime frame
Our goal is to identify the symptoms and diagnoses that lead to patients with a cerebral stroke being incorrectly not diagnosed or not diagnosed correctly in a timely manner in the central emergency department.
