Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Pre-hospital emergency patients with impaired consciousness

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: • Presence of an acute eye injury • Use of topical mydriatics or miotics within the last 24 hours • Inability to open the eyelids • Age < 18 years

Assessment of the applicability of automated quantitative pupillometry in the emergency medical services by prehospital emergency medicine doctors and/or paramedics

- Pupil size and reactivity characteristics (both pupils) o Baseline pupil diameter o Maximum variation in pupil size o Stimulation time in flash mode o Percentage change in pupil size before/after o Maximum pupil constriction o Constriction latency o Reactivity level assessed using the PLR - Frequency of use in various underlying conditions
