Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
The study examines the following primary and secondary outcomes: The primary objective of this study is to determine the extent to which nursing staff use OMW as a training method in practice and how they evaluate it. Secondary objectives include subjective learning gains, administrative conditions, and factors that hinder or facilitate the implementation of OMW. The primary and secondary outcomes are collected using a specially developed standardized written questionnaire. Data on the use of OMW in the respective setting, along with sociodemographic information, are collected. A cognitive interview is conducted before the developed questionnaire is used in the study. If necessary, a written validation is performed as a supplement. Factors that hinder or promote the implementation of OMW are identified through focus group interviews.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
The secondary outcome parameters are operationalized as follows: a) Subjective educational benefit is assessed using a 6-point scale (1 = maximum educational benefit). b) Administrative and organizational framework conditions are assessed using multiple-choice questions. c) Additional educational opportunities are assessed using multiple-choice questions. d) Willingness to create OMWs is assessed based on the number of OMWs previously created by the participants. e) Evaluation of OMW as a continuing education method is assessed using a 6-point scale (1 = very good). f) Barriers and facilitators to the implementation of OMW are assessed both within the questionnaire and through focus group interviews.
