Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
The primary endpoint is the child’s anxiety level during the outpatient visit. This is measured using the Houpt Categorical Rating Scale at the time of study enrollment (T0) and at the next outpatient visit (T1), i.e., after the picture book has been read for approximately 3 months.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Secondary endpoints include children’s cooperation during examinations (Houpt Categorial Rating Scale), parental stress during outpatient visits (self-administered questionnaires, Pro-CF Parent Questionnaire), and family stress (Pro-CF Parent and Child Questionnaires). The questionnaires are administered at T0 and T1.
