Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Perinatal acidosis and hypoglycemia occur when the umbilical cord pH is below 50 mg/dl.

Primary

MeasureTime frame
The incidence, temporal course and clinical relevance of acute hypoglycemia in newborns with perinatal acidosis are recorded as part of blood gas analyses and blood samples taken immediately after birth, as well as upon hospital admission and at the U2 examination before discharge.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
The observation of neurological abnormalities using the Sarnat/Thompson score, cranial sonography, cranial magnetic resonance imaging, General Movements and Bayley Scales of Infant Development.
