Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Health-related self-efficacy; Acceptance of Illness; Health-Related Control Beliefs. The variables are assessed using established and validated measurement instruments. The SES6G (Freund et al., 2013) is used to measure health-related self-efficacy, the Questionnaire on Health-Related Control Beliefs (KKG; Lohaus & Schmitt, 1989) is used to assess locus of control regarding illness and health, and a German translation of the Acceptance of Illness Scale (Felton et al., 1984) is used to measure illness acceptance.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Fatigue severity; Quality of Life; Health Literacy; Resilience. Fatigue and Quality of Life are assessed using the PROMIS® Fatigue Short Form 8a (PROMIS Health Organization, 2018) and the PROMIS® Global Health Scale (PROMIS Health Organization, 2017), respectively. General health literacy is measured using the HLS-EU-Q16 (Röthlin et al., 2013), and resilience is assessed using the RS-13 (Leppert et al., 2008).
