Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Non-traumatic cardiac arrest with return of spontaneous circulation (ROSC)

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Additional acute cerebral events on the initial brain computed tomography scan (e.g. clearly demarcated territorial ischemic stroke, intracranial hemorrhage, or severe traumatic brain injury). Patients with implanted devices that are not fully compatible with ultra-low-field magnetic resonance imaging (e.g. non-magnetic-resonance-compatible pacemakers, left ventricular assist devices, or Impella systems).

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Long-term neurological outcome assessed using the Modified Rankin Scale (mRS) and the Cerebral Performance Category (CPC) at 1 and 6 months, obtained via telephone interview.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Quality of life assessed using the EQ-5D at 1 and 6 months, obtained via telephone interview.
