Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: First epileptic seizure or initial diagnosis of epilepsy Age >50 years mRS <3 Capacity to give informed consent

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Following an ischemic stroke Uncertain epileptic seizure

Endpoint: new cardiovascular events, recurrent epileptic seizure Time points: 3, 12, and 24 months after enrollment Data collection via telephone or in-person visits
